Volunteer Activities Assistant, Arts & Crafts
To help and support older people to participate in a wide range of activities. To help
encourage social interaction and stimulation. Activities include Pottery & Clay
Crafting, Mosaicing Designs, Roping, Macramé, Roping Origami, Knitting &
Embroidery
1. What an Activities Volunteer Assistant does
- Layout of the craft tables
- Setup individual stations for the customer
- Welcome the customers and offer tea/coffee/water
- Introduce customers to new activities & encourage new ideas
- Support the customers with the craft making
- Clear the craft table & store crafts & equipment at the end of the session

3. How much time is involved?
2 hours per week, every Tuesday from 9 am – 11am
